Grafton – Marie A. (Flansburg) Caron, 86, passed away at home following a brief illness January 1, 2025. Her husband George Caron predeceased her.
She leaves her children Paul Johnson, Sharon O’Leary and her husband John, Suzanne Johnson, Sally Johnson, Sheila Collins, Michael Johnson and Denise Caron and her partner Jason Abraham, her grandchildren David Wood and his wife Chelsea, Penelope Havard and her husband Chris, Nicholas Collins, Amelia, Alex and Holly Rowland and Nathan, Ryan and Caitlyn Abraham, her great-grandchildren Hayden, Octavia and Devon and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Chic Flansburg and her first husband Stuart Johnson.
Marie was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Mildred (Kaminski) and Charles Flansburg. Her early days were spent in Sutton but she lived in Grafton for most of her life. She spent time at home with her children and family and also made crafting her vocation taking many trips to craft shows across New England, especially Washington County, The Spencer Fair and in Brooklyn, CT. She adored her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else. If you knew Marie you’ll remember a strong willed person that lived life on her terms through all of the joys and challenges she met along the way.
Services for Marie will be private at the convenience of her family and are under the care of Roney Funeral Home in North Grafton.
