SHREWSBURY – Crews from the Shrewsbury Department of Public Works are responding to a water main break on Route 140 near Hill Street.
Drivers should expect delays or consider alternative routes.
According to the town, the impacted area includes Boylston Street from Hill Street to Wachusett Avenue, Wachusett Avenue from 140 to Bryant Ave., Barnard Street from Route 140 to Deerfield, and all of Rawson Place and Rolling Hill Road. In an update at 6 a.m., the town estimated that water may be turned off between six to eight hours during the repairs.
Residents may have discolored water. Once service is restored and if you experience discolored water or decreased pressure, try running cold water in an outside or downstairs faucet.
