MARLBOROUGH – Mary Murphy, superintendent of Marlborough Public Schools, is planning to retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year.
Murphy made the announcement during the School Committee meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

A 20-plus-year veteran of MPS, Murphy succeeded Michael Bergeron in 2022.
“When I walked into Kane School 22 years ago, it was one of the happiest days of my life,” she said.
The School Committee will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 21, to discuss the search process.
