Marlborough – Brandon E. Silva, 35 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family. Brandon was born in Framingham, MA, the son of Edward A. and Donna L. (Palardy) Silva.
He worked for several different restaurants as a Bartender before becoming ill.
Brandon was a spirited soul who looked at the world with optimism. Life wasn’t always kind to him, but he never gave up on whatever it was that he was trying to achieve. His body was broken but his spirit never wavered. He found pleasure in being surrounded by family and friends and loved nothing more than to help coordinate a party or event and when given the chance he’d be the first one to dance.
Brandon didn’t have children of his own but relished caring for others. Children were drawn to his mischievous and outgoing personality. He also had a gifted way with seniors and spent endless hours talking with them and taking their stories.
He was talented in everything he did, whether it was creating prom dresses for friends, helping friends decorate for the holidays or creating beautiful gardens, there was nothing he wouldn’t try. Although he had many physical restraints, he never turned down a request to help no matter the pain it would cause.
Brandon had an unrivaled wit about him and an infectious laugh. If you had the pleasure of being caught up in one of his conversations that made you uncomfortable you also know Brandon’s motto “hold my beer I’m just getting started”.
He was always up for an adventure or caper whether it was going on a spontaneous road trip or going gnome hunting he was the first to say sign me up.
Brandon was survived by his parents, Edward and Donna Silva of Marlborough, a brother Tylor Silva of Marlborough, 2 sisters, Lindsey Silva of Marlborough, Brittany Brugger and her husband Eric of Shrewsbury, his Maternal Grandparents, Robert and Shirley Palardy of Marlborough, Aunt Susan Palardy, Uncle Mark Silva, Aunt and Uncle Greg and Gerianne Beane all of Marlborough, Uncle Steve Matheson of Hudson as well as many cousins and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandparents, David and Mary Lou Silva and Aunt Bernadette Matheson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 10am -1pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm also in the Funeral Home.
He was too smart for his own good and compassionate to a fault. He loved the people in his circle fiercely and he was loyal to all. He was a bright light in a sometimes-dark world, and we can only wish that he will continue to shine down on us, his spirit free from the body that imprisoned him. Fly high!
Following cremation, a private burial will be held at a later date.
