Marlborough – Holly Baab, 69, of Marlborough, died on January 19, 2025.

She is survived by her husband Christopher O’Keeffe; her brother Warren Baab and his wife Maggie of Troy, ID; 12 brothers and sisters in law; 12 nieces & nephews; and 7 grand nieces and nephews, along with scores of friends and colleagues whose lives she touched. She is predeceased by her parents, Warren and Alice (Darling) Baab and her sister, Karen Baab. Her sudden loss has deeply affected her family, friends, and the community she served throughout her life.

After growing up in New Milford NJ, Holly graduated from Wilkes College in Wilkes Barre PA and later earned a Master’s degree at Framingham State University. She worked in a variety of leadership roles at The Edinburg Center and its predecessor organizations from 1982 until her retirement in 2017. Holly cared deeply for people suffering from mental illness and devoted herself to improving their lives.

Friends, family and colleagues remember Holly as a joyful, warm, and welcoming person. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and inexhaustible hospitality, opening both her home and heart to everyone she met. Friends describe her as a supportive and wonderful woman who brought joy and energy to gatherings. Her legacy of compassion will continue to inspire all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, 3:00-7:00pm, at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Paulist Center, 5 Park St., Boston, MA 02108.
