Hebert passionately undertakes each painting no matter what the current subject matter in an attempt to capture color and light. She was recently honored with inclusion in the book “The Art of Lake Champlain.”

She teaches a Beginning Art course at Assabet Valley's After Dark Program, welcoming students with a life-long dream to learn to draw and paint. She also teaches in her studio in Worcester, where the principles she learned and experienced with her teacher, Helen Van Wyk, are shared.

There is no admission charge for either the Jan. 8 reception or the exhibition itself, which is on view weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hudson Town Hall. The exhibit is wheelchair-accessible and will continue until mid-March. Parking is available along Main and Church Streets, as marked, as well as in a small adjacent lot.

Most of the work is available for purchase. For more information, visit www.upwitharts.org or call 1-978-562-1646.

The Art in the Hall series is a collaboration between the Town of Hudson and the Arts Alliance and is made possible with help from Harvest Cafe, Hetzler's Music, Hudson Cultural Council and K2E Photography & Graphics.
