Imagine Project supports veterans

Marlborough - More than 20 years ago, Marlborough resident Julie Ciolino, a volunteer at a local nursing home, met a Vietnam veteran who had served his country. Upon his return home, he was unable to resume his life, couldn’t cope with the change and eventually moved into a nursing home.

Helping the homeless in Northborough, Westborough

Northborough – Cars pull up and unload. People scurry into Julie Stanwood's Northborough home carrying bundles of clothes, shopping bags of toys, and packages of diapers. The living room is overflowing with donations. Stanwood is president of the Friends of Families in Transition, Inc., (FFIT) which is committed to assisting homeless families in the towns of Northborough and Westborough. Her mission is to coordinate the efforts of various community groups to work together to support the families who are provided with temporary housing in area motels.

Residents make strides for Parkinson's disease

Southborough/Northborough - According to the American Parkinson's Disease Association (APDA), Parkinson's disease affects more than 1.5 million people in the United States. The disease is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system resulting in a variety of symptoms, including muscle rigidity, tremors, and changes in speech and gait.

Friends ask for support of Zielinski family
