Marlborough – The Marlborough Savings Charitable Foundation awarded Sudbury Extended Day (SED) a $2,500 grant to supplement the cost of enrolling students from low-income families into SED programs.

As an attorney/mediator with a background in human services and divorce litigation—who negotiated her own divorce — she has brought knowledge and compassion to the over 3,000 divorces that she has mediated. She also brings her expertise to estate planning.
“We purchased these 40 acres of grazing land in 2010, and planted our first rows of grapes in 2011, then added more rows of grapes over the next three years,” said Eric Preusse, who owns the winery with his wife, Peggy. “We’ve tried 11 different varieties to see what would do well here, and now we are down to four major varieties. Grapes are bred for certain regions. We are growing varieties such as Marquette, developed in Minnesota, which do well in cold weather but would not grow in warmer climates.”
Marlborough - The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This year, Next Generation Children's Centers planned a weeklong celebration April 7 to 11 to help bring extra attention to what they do. "The purpose of the week is to bring public attention to the needs of the children and celebrate in a creative way to showcase that. We have 10 locations across Middlesex County. Each of us participated in exciting things throughout the week," said Jen Smith, director of Next Generation Children's Center in Marlborough.
