Apple Tree Arts to present “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids”

Grafton – Apple Tree Arts will present “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids" Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at 7 p.m. at the Grafton Middle School, 22 Providence Road. Marlborough High School students perform at 2017 Newport Jazz Festival

Marlborough - Since 2013, the Massachusetts Music Educators Association’s (MMEA) All-State Jazz Band has appeared at the Newport Jazz Festival. Featuring the best students from around the state, the band is presented at Boston’s Symphony Hall during MMEA’s annual all-state festival. This year, two Marlborough High School jazz ensemble musicians, Justin Bartlett and Matthew Pearl, were invited to perform at the Newport Jazz Festival.

Student undertakes mission to save coral reefs from climate change

Northborough/Southborough - When one thinks of climate change, things such as melting icebergs, sweltering summers, snowless winters, and extreme weather events come to mind. But what is also happening beneath the surface of some of the globe's oceans is that a species of fish is searching for a new home because the coral reef it has lived in for decades is no longer habitable. Chris Mitchell of Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) has decided that must change.

Epicurean restaurant is open at Assabet Valley

Region - Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School’s restaurant, the Epicurean Room, is open for the 2017-18 school year. The regular schedule will be Wednesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., with an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch each Thursday for $9 per person, which includes salad bar, soup, a variety of meats, vegetables and starches, as well as a dessert and beverage.
