Preparing for 10th annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism

Southborough – The New England Center for Children (NECC) in Southborough is preparing for its 10th annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism to be held Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m., starting and finishing at the Margaret A. Neary Elementary School. To celebrate the fundraiser’s decade anniversary, NECC recently hosted an evening kickoff event at the P. Brent Trottier Middle School. There, Simone Clinton of Framingham shared success stories of her son Liam, an NECC student for 10 years.

Southborough – On April 30, Fay School’s budding writers met Newbery Award-winning author Sharon Creech who has written numerous novels for young people, including “Walk Two Moons” (winner of the Newbery Medal), “Love That Dog,” and “Ruby Holler” (winner of the Carnegie Medal). Each fall, the entire Lower School community - including faculty and parents -- reads the same novel and participates in community-wide book talks and reflections.
