Evening of music to benefit Jeff Baskowski Music Scholarship

Grafton – Local musicians are rallying Saturday, May 7 at Hunter’s Grill & Tap at the Grafton Inn, 25 Grafton Common, to raise money for the Jeff Baskowski Music Scholarship. The night will feature music ranging from American roots to jump/swing. R&B and jump band Big Chief will headline the event, with other musicians to include Steve Beckwith, T.J. Peavy, Jeff Giacomelli, and Brad Kohl.

Grafton selectmen choose fire protection consulting company

Shrewsbury - Representatives of Jensen Hughes Engineering (headquartered in Baltimore, Md., with local offices in Framingham and Marlborough) attended the Grafton Board of Selectmen’s meeting Aug. 18. The board had chosen the company to assist with potential issues related to the new liquid propane gas (LPG) transfer station at the North Grafton switching yard of the Grafton and Upton Rail Road (GURR).

Grafton selectmen authorize financing for Clean Water Trust

Grafton - The Grafton Board of Selectmen voted unanimously at its Feb. 2 meeting to issue bonds not to exceed $44.2 million for support of the town’s involvement in the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust (formerly the Water Pollution Abatement Trust). Authority to do so was obtained by a town vote in October, 2014, with a limit on borrowing of $49 million.
