Grafton girls’ lacrosse defeats Marlborough

Grafton voters reject funding for proposed new DPW building

Grafton – Voters at the May 9 Annual Town Meeting soundly rejected a proposal to fund a new Department of Public Works (DPW) building. The plan, which had first been proposed in 2001, has been a source of controversy over the years. The article at the ATM asked for a favorable vote to fund $13.9 million through a Proposition 2-1/2 debt for a new 35, 430 square facility to be built at 48 Old Westboro Road.

Grafton Library to hold community read, spring egg hunt

Grafton – The Grafton Public Library will hold two community events in March. On Tuesday, March 25, Friends of the Grafton Library will host Community Read 2016: “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” at the South Grafton Community House, 25 Main St. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with refreshments, followed by a book discussion with Helen Whall, a professor at the College of the Holy Cross, at 7:30 p.m.
