Westborough – Members of Westborough’s interfaith community came together to worship at their annual Community Thanksgiving Service Nov. 21 at the Gurdwara Sahib, the New England Sikh Study Circle’s (NESSC) new temple. Congregations of the Westborough Interfaith Association* sponsored the event.
Northborough – The dedication and many hours of service by Boy Scout Troop 101 over the years to the Northborough community can be seen and enjoyed all around town. The troop recently recognized its 101st Eagle Scout and also is in the preparation phase to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2018.

Marlborough - One of the few places large groups of first responders congregate is at the funerals of their fallen colleagues. Mike Matros, a Sudbury firefighter and Marlborough native, has worked to change that over the past year with the “Heroes Cup” he helped found.
Hudson/Marlborough – Among the memories Hudson resident Zenaide “Zee” Swenson cherishes of living in a hospital with her son Andrew is his love for music. The nonprofit organization Andrew’s Helpful Hands (AHH) serves as a legacy for her son, who passed away of leukemia the day after his seventh birthday in 2002. His passions will be remembered Saturday, July 29, 4 p.m. to midnight, as AHH presents Andrew’s Memorial Jam at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough.
Shrewsbury – There’s a new sheriff in town. Well, not exactly. Rather, there’s a new member on Worcester County Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis’s team – Zeus, an eight-month old mixed lab.
Shrewsbury – Thousands of Shrewsbury residents, as well as visitors from out of town, enjoyed attending the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival Town Expo, held at the Oak Middle School Sept. 23. With the overcast skies turning hot and sunny by mid-morning, attendees enjoyed meeting with 100 exhibitors representing town, civic, educational and religious organizations and the business community.
Hudson - Fresh Start Furniture Bank of Hudson, a volunteer-run charity that provides furniture and other household items people in need, is reaching out to residents in the area for donations. They are seeking sofas, dressers, upholstered chairs, end tables, microwave ovens, floor lamps, blankets, comforters, silverware, and bath towels, among many other items.
