Rotarians host another spirited food and brewfest in Hudson

Hudson – Nearly 1,800 area residents supported the Hudson Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley when they partnered Aug. 16 for the second annual Spirit of Hudson Food and Brewfest. Guests mingled in tents at the Avidia Bank parking lot on South Street, where they sampled food and desserts offered by 15 eateries from Hudson, Marlborough, Bolton and Stow. Over 120 crafted beers were available from 40 breweries. DJ Bobby Begg provided music.

Youth Fest to promote healthful, drug-free living

Hudson - Living and enjoying a healthful, drug-free life is a strong message being conveyed to Hudson youths and will be demonstrated to all who attend the Youth Fest Saturday, Sept. 6, at Wood Park. The special event, sponsored by the Hudson Youth Substance Abuse Prevention (YSAP) Coalition, will feature youth bands, dance performances, and other positive examples of self-expression that contribute to healthy decision-making.

Over 1,000 support inaugural 5K in Hudson for UMass ALS Cellucci Fund

Hudson – Elected officials on both sides of the aisle united Aug. 2 at the Hudson-Concord Elks Lodge 959 to support the final campaign of Argeo Paul Cellucci, former Massachusetts governor and ambassador to Canada. They were among the runners and walkers who travelled a 5K route in his hometown for the inaugural Gov. Cellucci Tribute Road Race. After a diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Cellucci launched the UMass ALS Champion Fund in 2011. ALS took his life at age 65 in 2013 and his renamed campaign continues as the UMass ALS Cellucci Fund. Over 1,000 supporters registered for this fundraiser.

Father of special needs children hopes to make positive changes in Hudson schools

By night he is the father of 16-year-old triplets and husband to an adoring wife, Mary. As a full time career man in the ever-changing technology market, the presumption may be that Teixeira has his hands full; however, inspired by his home life and the challenges he faces as a father of two special needs teenagers, he finds the time to tackle something near to his heart.
