Two of Hudson's star female athletes commit to college

Hudson – Two Hudson High School (HHS) athletes - soccer standout Nicole Sloan and track star Nicole Mooar - have formally agreed to accept scholarships to continue playing their sports at Massachusetts colleges. On Feb. 12, the two young women participated in a National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing event at the school, surrounded by school officials, faculty, family and teammates. The event was held a week after the official National Letter of Intent Day Feb. 5 because of a snowstorm.

Paul Cellucci monument proposed at Hudson Town Hall

Hudson – Discussions continue among townspeople and elected officials for the most appropriate way to memorialize native son Argeo Paul Cellucci, former Massachusetts governor and ambassador to Canada. The idea of a monument was publicly introduced by resident Jim Saart at a Board of Selectmen meeting in December. Selectmen Jim Quinn and Chris Yates volunteered to pursue the idea. "Jim Saart was the catalyst who got the ball rolling on this," Quinn said. "He stood up for something that he believes in passionately."
