Annual town election results for Hudson and Shrewsbury

Region – Fred P. Lucy II and James David Quinn were the two candidates in a field of five to win the two seats on the Board of Selectmen in the Hudson Annual Town Election April 30. Lucy, who entered the race as an incumbent, received 1,397 votes. This will be Quinn's first stint on the board. He received 1,261 votes. Charles McGourty, who was also an incumbent, came in third with 1,023 votes. Phillip "Paddy P. Dolan had 1,0121 votes and Susan Dunnell had 768.

Hudson – The annual Memorial Day baseball rivalry pitting Hudson High School (HHS) against Marlborough High School has produced countless memories for several decades. This year's game, played May 27 at Riverside Park in Hudson, will be remembered as the culmination of a month-long fundraiser organized by the HHS players to benefit the One Fund Boston. The team's coach, Tim Reinhardt, a social studies teacher, was aware that the players wanted to do more community service.

Hudson – Hudson High School (HHS) graduates Arianna Silva, class of 2009, and Cameron Ciesluk, class of 2010, share many interests. Each also graduated from Worcester State College (WSC), where she majored in visual art and minored in communications, and he studied communications and broadcast media. Now, each is working at HHS and fundraising for $2,500 to create a documentary of students travelling to Peru during April break.
