Groups host Community Thanksgiving for seniors

Marlborough - Every senior in the city will have an opportunity to observe Thanksgiving complete with a friendly atmosphere and a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Some will be with families, those in assisted living facilities will dine with other residents, and all who are not anticipating a holiday dinner are invited to a special community Thanksgiving feast to be held at the Senior Center, 250 Main St. Monday, Nov. 19.

New power supplier secured for city residents

Due to the increase in electricity rates from National Grid, the city of Marlborough has announced the selection of Hampshire Power as the city’s supplier under a municipal aggregation for its Community Choice Power Supply Program. Mayor Arthur Vigeant announced the change in a communication shared by the City Council at its Nov. 17 meeting.

Conservation gift accepted by council

Marlborough - A $1,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation to the city's Conservation Commission was formerly accepted by the City Council at the council's April 7 meeting. The gift was given at the recommendation of and in honor of Ginger Ryan, one of the foundation's employees.
