Algonquin Tops Marlborough in Soccer Doubleheader

Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks boys and girls soccer teams were both victorious in games played against the Marlborough High School Panthers on October 3, 2015. In the first game of the evening, the Algonquin boys defeated Shrewsbury by a score of 3-1. The Algonquin boys’ team season record improves to 5-1-2 while Marlborough falls to 1-4-2.

Code Red brings emergency notification capabilities to Northborough

Northborough - The town's new Code Red emergency notification system is now live and at least for now will be reserved for true emergencies, the Board of Selectmen were told during its Jan. 27 meeting. Town Administrator John Coderre said after exploring several options, Northborough signed a three-year contract worth $7,500 annually with Florida-based Emergency Contact Network (ECN), which operates Code Red.

ARHS graduates featured in new Pop TV docuseries

Northborough/Southborough – Two graduates of Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) are featured, along with the rest of their six-person a cappella group, The Hexachords, in Season 2 of the hit Pop TV docuseries, “Sing It On.” Xander Teplansky (class of 2012) and Linnea Henningson (class of 2014), were both active in the music program at ARHS and former members of Algonqapella, the high school’s a cappella group.
