Northborough selectmen approve “Pinwheels for Prevention”

Northborough - The Northborough Junior Women's Club successfully petitioned the Board of Selectmen at its March 12 meeting to allow a special display in front of Town Hall to raise awareness of child abuse. Members of the club stated that incidents of child abuse have increased in Massachusetts since 2008. The display will consist of up to 400 colorful pinwheels, paid for by public donations. The money raised by the event will go to assistance for abuse victims, and for education programs.
