Marlborough – As lead singer of the Reminisants, Marlborough resident Mike Joyal performs over 150 engagements annually throughout New England, and a weeklong cruise to Bermuda on Norwegian Cruise Lines. After 12 years entertaining at Hampton Beach, N.H., they were among the first bands selected for multiple bookings this debut season of the shoreline's new Seashell Stage. While Joyal enjoys travelling to gigs, he also welcomes opportunities to work locally.

Hudson's Arts Alliance “rocks” summer program

Hudson – The Arts Alliance has sponsored the arts since 1991, funding programs like "Art in the Hall." This summer, Hudson residents will soon be able to find art in other places – like on the Hudson Rail Trail. "Art Rocks" is a program in which local artists of high-school age and older can paint rocks along the trail with nature-themed art. It is the third of many ongoing projects collectively known as Hudson Pathways. The goal for Art Rocks is to beautify the rail trail and spark interest in it.

"Sholan Farms is a property of around 167 acres - 28 acres of fruit trees, and an additional 30 acres or so of blueberries, pumpkins, raspberries, summer vegetables, community gardens and hay. The rest is woodland and trails and a 40-acre meadow out back that we maintain as a habitat for nesting birds," said Mike Meehan, manager of the farm, operated by the nonprofit Friends of Sholan Farms.

Dedication held for “Memory Place” at Shrewsbury library

Shrewsbury - Generous memorial donations have turned the space outside the children's library section of the Shrewsbury Public Library into a welcoming seating area and place for storytelling. According to the library staff, "Memory Place" will serve three purposes: it's a place for children and families to come together; a place where visitors can remember those they love; and a place where new memories will be created.
