The Off-Market Listing – Why it could work for you

Judy Boyle, Realtor® - Two years ago, the Real Estate Market took an unprecedented turn when home values soared and many homeowners quickly became home sellers. Last year, more homeowners followed suit and decided to sell while the getting was good. For the third year straight, all indicators show that the market will once again favor sellers and the results will continue to be astonishing.

Urgent…Inventory Desperately Needed!

By Michelle Gillespie - It is off to the races with another hot year in the real estate market. While some believed the market would slow down this year, that clearly has not been the case.

Go Local

My last article, “Moving is a Hassle,” resonated with many.  Yes, I have moved, and am surrounded by a zillion unpacked brown boxes.  I can’t find a lot of things I need, and Amazon prime makes it too easy to replace/upgrade.  The boxes simply multiply when I sleep.

Spring into Action: Boost Your Home’s Curb Appeal with Expert Guidance

Elaine Quigley, CBR, CRS, GRI - To sell your home this spring, it may need more preparation than it would have a year or two ago. Today’s housing market has a different feel. There are more homes for sale than there were at this time last year, but inventory is still historically low.

Five Tips to Make Your Bathroom Stand Out

By Michelle Gillespie - Every homebuyer has a vision of their perfect house and the rooms inside that are most important to them. Because of their relatively small size in comparison to the rest of a home, bathrooms are often overlooked in the staging process, but for many buyers, it could be the most important room of all.

Moving is a Hassle

Gary Kelley, Realtor - After nine years in my home, I am moving to a neighboring town. This will be my 11th move since college. And it is still a hassle.

What to Expect from the Housing Market in 2023

Elaine Quigley, CBR, CRS, GRI - The 2022 housing market has been defined by two key things: inflation and rapidly rising mortgage rates. And in many ways, it’s put the market into a reset position.

My predictions for 2023 – Millennial first-time homebuyers for the win

Judy Boyle, Realtor® - As we prepare to say goodbye to 2022, it is only human nature to set our sights on the new year with hope and renewal. Some of us make resolutions. Some of us set new goals. Whatever the new year means to you, it will likely consist of contemplations about housing because, let’s face it, we all need shelter. Yet it is so difficult to make sound decisions when the headlines are inconsistent.

Ring in the New Year!

Lisa Y. Shaw, Broker Associate - With the holiday season wrapping up, what’s to be expected in 2023 for the housing market? The NAR (National Association of Realtors) reported that interest rates doubled from the 3rd quarter of 2021 to the 3rd quarter of 2022, ringing the average rate for a 30 year fixed from 2.9 to 6%. That is forecasted to remain pretty consistent throughout 2023 fluctuating between 6-6.6 throughout the year and finishing 2023 right around 6%.

Happy Holidays and Have a Wonderful New Year

Turn That Frown Upside Down

We are in a joyous time of year. And it seems many people are just down in the dumps. The economy seems to be weighing on many. When it comes to houses, there is a sense sellers aren’t selling and buyers are not buying. The real estate market isn’t crashing…and it is adjusting to a more normal market…call it cooling. Let’s take a closer look at this, dispel some false rumors and feel better as we move deeper into the holiday season.

Sell your house before the holidays

Elaine Quigley, CBR, CRS, GRI - As you look ahead to the winter season, you’re likely making plans and thinking about what you want to achieve before the year ends. One of those key decision points could be whether or not you want to move this year. If the location or size of your current home no longer meets your needs, finding a house that better suits your lifestyle may be a top priority for you.

The housing market’s holiday traditions

Lisa Y. Shaw, Broker Associate - While most of us are enjoying the holiday season and participating in our own special traditions, the housing market’s traditions may not be so enjoyable right now for some.

Crazy Times – not really

Gary E. Kelley - Who remembers Crazy Eddie? Crazy Eddie was a retailer known for ads proclaiming, “Crazy Eddie’s prices are INSANE.” (Yes, there was also a serious fraud eventually leading to the demise of the company. Just remember the ads.
