Shrewsbury—The Shrewsbury Athletic Club just off Route 9 is undergoing major renovations to upgrade the facility and to offer new services. “When the renovations are all done, we will be offering a full-service athletic facility with a health club aspect for adults and kids of all ages,” said Nathan Sorensen, who bought the business about a year ago. Community effort results in a successful holiday toy drive in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury - Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services (SYFS) announced that due to the efforts of many volunteers, donors, businesses and the Shrewsbury Knights of Columbus, several disadvantaged children will have gifts to unwrap for the holidays. In Shrewsbury, 78 children were served through this drive and will have toys, books and warm clothes to unwrap. Additionally, 34 families received grocery gift cards to help with the costs of a holiday meal. The remaining gifts were sent to the Department of Children and Families to help bring holiday joy to children in foster care.
