Southborough’s Economic Development Committee sets vision for town’s future

Southborough – There are two sides of Southborough. One is the busy Route 9 corridor, home to a number of businesses and restaurants. The other side is a small town of three “villages” – Cordaville, Fayville and the downtown district – that retain a rural charm from years ago. Southborough’s business environment has fared better than most of its neighbors in recent years. The office vacancy, once at 10 percent, is improving and had an average growth rate of 2.4 percent compared to the state average of .07 percent.

Musgrave ‘launched” a quest for fulfillment

Southborough - Story Musgrave has never followed a traditional path. He attended St. Mark's School where his innate desire to explore different places and his passion to seek adventure might have seemed at odds with the expectations of the prestigious school. Because he felt more inclined to experience life rather than read about it in books, and because at the all-boy-school he missed seeing women, children, and families, he left prior to graduation. According to Musgrave, "Not graduating was the right thing to do. I just walked away. I departed."
