Rotary to hold Scholarship Breakfast April 7

Northborough ?The Rotary Club of Northborough, Inc. will be hosting its annual Scholarship Breakfast on Sunday, April 7, at the Lincoln Street School. This year's breakfast will be the 42nd time the club hosts the popular event. Rotarians will serve up a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausages and drinks from 8 a.m. to noon that day. Another feature of the breakfast will be musical performances from Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) students.

Team 1100 Robotics wins Chairman's Award

Region- For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) was founded in 1989 to inspire young people to pursue higher education and careers in science, technology and engineering through hands-on mentorship from people in those fields. Algonquin's FIRST Team 1100 was founded in 2003. The current Team 1100 is led by parent, mentor and engineer Dan Strickland and advised by Applied Arts and Technology teacher George Clarke. While Algonquin's Team 1100 is based out of Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS), the team roster includes students from many surrounding towns.

Westborough native battles serious illness with help from friends

Westborough/Grafton – Although Judy Ann (Burke) and Denny Grey now live in Grafton, they still have close ties to their native Westborough. Denny works for the Westborough Department of Public Works and one of Judy's many hobbies is participating in a Westborough sewing group. Judy is one of the "golden girls," a group of close friends who have stayed in touch since their elementary school days in Westborough.
