Fausto Benavides of Shrewsbury finished first overall in 18:05. Haley Collins of Shrewsbury was the first-place female in 20:58. Recognized as the oldest veteran finisher was Jim Brehio of Templeton, 65, in 21:45.

Marlborough – On Dec. 9, Marlborough Hospital marked its 15th annual Tree of Light ceremony in the Leahy Conference Room. Guests were greeted at the door by members of Boy Scout Troop 1775. Steve Roach, president and CEO, welcomed everyone and introduced the musical entertainment. Carols were sung by the 1Lt. Charles W. Whitcomb Middle School Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Chorus directed by Helen Morley.
