Holden - The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks boys’ soccer team defeated the Wachusett Regional High School Mountaineers 1-0 in the Central Mass. Division 1 championship game played Nov. 15 in Holden.
Families were entertained by the "Jedster the Jester Circus Show" presented April 12 at Fay School. In addition to watching him perform magic and create balloon animals, kids learned how to juggle and balance plates. The jester is also known as Jed Stefanowicz, who will teach a Circus Arts Camp this summer at Fay School.

Westborough – Local officials gathered July 15 to celebrate the newest addition to the area's dining options: Chick-fil-A, the fast food chain that specializes in chicken sandwiches. Construction has already started at the restaurant's 286 Turnpike Road (Route 9) location. It is slated to open this fall and employ 80 people. The new restaurant will be the Atlanta-based chain's third Massachusetts location and the second stand-alone in the state.

Shrewsbury - The Shrewsbury Fire Department released this statement this evening regarding an accident on Hartford Turnpike- On Monday August 17, 2015 at 1700 hours, the Shrewsbury Fire Department, along with Shrewsbury Police and Worcester EMS, were dispatched to the area of 845 Hartford Turnpike for a report of a 2 car motor vehicle accident with reported rollover and entrapment. Upon the arrival of the Shrewsbury Police Department, it was confirmed that one occupant was entrapped and required extrication.

Marlborough – "The more things change, the more they stay the same" is a proverb that applies to the 38th annual Senior of the Year Dinner when Mayor Arthur Vigeant welcomed residents age 60 and over April 16 at the Marlborough High School cafeteria. New this year, there were two honorees: Lydia Whitcomb and Rita Connors. As in past years, the mayor noted that each deserves recognition for outstanding contributions to the city.
