Westborough – The Board of Selectmen (BOS) voted unanimously to appoint Jeffrey Bakstran as a reserve intermittent police officer Feb 26.
Dodd, Emery win spots on Westborough BOS
Westborough – The two incumbents, Timothy Dodd and Leigh Emery, have won the race for two spots on the Board of Selectmen in the March 5 Annual Town Election. Dodd received 986 votes, Emery received 846 and Stephen Faris, the third candidate, received 430. 1,229 voters (11 percent) out of 11,140 eligible participated in the election.
Town to vote on budget, medical marijuana at ATM
Westborough – While many basketball fans anxiously await on March to bring its "madness" this year, Westborough voters are preparing for an annual rite of their own – the Annual Town Meeting (ATM).
Once again, voters will gather for the ATM, which will be held this year on Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m at the Westborough High School Auditorium, following the town's Annual Town Election which is slated for Tuesday, March 5.
Westborough selectmen appoint reserve police officer
Westborough – The Board of Selectmen (BOS) voted unanimously to appoint Jeffrey Bakstran as a reserve intermittent police officer on Feb. 26.
Police Chief Alan Gordon requested of the board that Bakstran be appointed, effective immediately. According to Gordon, Bakstran recently graduated from the reserve intermittent police academy.
