Westborough Hiking Group encourages community to explore town trails              

Westborough – The Westborough Community Land Trust (WCLT) has been committed to preserving over 173 acres of natural forest for the past 20 years. In recent efforts to peak local residents’ interest in visiting the town’s scenic trails, the Westborough Walks Meetup Group was established as an all-volunteer nonprofit organization in April 2016. Keith Martin and Don Burn (the founder of the Charm Bracelet trail system) are the organizers of this group who welcome anyone to come along on their nature ventures. Residents can discover great wilderness locations, while also learning general facts about the woods and the town’s intriguing history.

“Sewing for Hope” gives girls brighter future

Westborough - At times, everyone has looked at the clothes crammed in their closets and said, "I have nothing to wear." Instead of having choices, some people literally have only the clothes on their backs. That is the harsh reality of thousands of children in Tanzania, one of poorest countries in East Africa. But, thanks to a doctor who is committed to helping these children and the volunteers who believe in her mission, including Westborough resident Judy Hall, many young girls in that country's most desperate region will receive the gift of a brand-new dress, lovingly crafted by hand.
