Grafton: Summer concerts and movies

Grafton – The Grafton Recreation Department will hold its free Concerts on the Common series Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. on the Grafton Common. Rain location is Grafton Municipal Center, 30 Providence Road.

The concerts include: July 13 – The Brass Connection, a Pops-style brass band showcasing swing, light classics and rock ‘n’ roll; July 20 – GopherBroke, playing classic and country rock; July 27 – Beatles for Sale, the award-winning Beatles tribute band; Aug. 3 – Macey and Hart, featuring favorite country hits; Aug. 10 – The Buzztones Rhythm Review, playing rock and soul with a side of blues and funk; Aug. 17 – Big Chief, showcasing rhythm & blues, jump, swing and boogie woogie; and Aug. 24 – Claflin Hill Symphony.

The Recreation Department will also be showing movies in the park at Mill Villages, 61 Main St., South Grafton. “The Sandlot” will be shown Friday, June 24, at 8:30 p.m.; “E.T. the Extraterrestrial,” Friday, July 29, at 8:30 p.m.; and “Inside Out,” Friday, Aug. 26, at 7:30 p.m. Food trucks will be available.
