Hudson – The congregation at First United Methodist Church of Hudson once again invites Hudson and surrounding communities to its 17th annual Block Party Celebration, to be held Sunday, Sept. 9. Beginning at 10:15 a.m. and continuing until about 6:00 p.m., the event will feature afternoon activities for all ages, food, music, and all the fun of a summer festival.
This year’s Block Party kicks off with a 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning outdoor worship service (indoors if rainy). Following the service, the celebration will continue with numerous activities for children and families, including “Frick and Frack” tractor train rides, a magician, a reptile show with “Animal Adventures,” Bouncy House, face painting, music, and more.
The church will serve a free light lunch beginning around noon with Vee Bops Ice cream truck stopping by! If you have children and wish to sign them up for the Sunday School program, there will be a booth for Sunday School registration.
The Block Party will conclude with a free ham, bean, mac’n cheese dinner beginning at 4 p.m. All of the day’s events are free and open to the public.
