Region – OARS will hold its 32nd Annual River Cleanup Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. OARS volunteers will walk the banks and wade into the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord rivers to help restore them for people, fish and wildlife. Trash, tires, bottles, car parts, bicycles, etc. will be collected for appropriate disposal.
OARS will be working this year in Westborough, Northborough, Framingham, Wayland, Sudbury, Marlborough, Hudson, Stow, Maynard, Acton, Concord, and Billerica. The cleanup will be followed by a pizza lunch and celebration along the rivers.
