Region – The Young at Heart group is planning a trip for Friday, June 6 to Capt. Jack's in Matunuck, R.I.?Capt. Jack's is a quaint seaside eatery that specializes in lobster and seafood. There is prime rib available for those who prefer that instead of lobster. There is also clam chowder and clam cakes, shrimp cocktail, and corn on the cob plus dessert and coffee or tea included with the meal.
The cost is $66 and includes a tour of Smith's Castle in Wickford before the meal at Capt. Jack's. Smith's Castle was originally built in 1637 and has been preserved for public viewing since 1948. There are also beautiful gardens to be explored!
The trip will leave from the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rogers Rd., at 8 a.m. and from Faith Fellowship Church, 647 Douglas St., Uxbridge, at 8:45 a.m. Call Sue at 508-372-9266 for more information.
