Shrewsbury Historical Society presents ‘Preservation Matters’

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Historical Society will present “Preservation Matters” by Deborah Packard Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
This presentation will provide a brief analysis of why historic preservation matters. It will include an overview of Preservation Worcester’s work in the city. There will be a discussion of programs and policies in Worcester that might be of benefit to Shrewsbury, including a one-year demolition delay ordinance, a revolving loan fund, our most endangered structures program, establishment of local historic districts, preservation restrictions, public/private partnerships and historic tax credits.
