Horses, hybrids, electric cars, vehicles powered by water, flying machines, all poised to solve the transportation issues of the day… The Collings Foundation will host an extraordinary event that pits some of the greatest mobility-based technological advancements against each other in a “Race of the Century.” The event takes place at 137 Barton Rd., Stow, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Entry fee is $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 years and younger. Races start around 1 p.m. PT-17 Stearman bi-plane, New Standard bi-plane and T-6 Texan fighter trainer aircraft flights will be available: 30-minute Stearman flights: $230; 20-minute New Standard flights $400 (seats 2 – 4 people); 45-minute Texan flights: $450. The Collings Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit educational foundation devoted to organizing “living history” events that allows people to learn more about their heritage and history through direct participation.
