Region – Symphony Pro Musica (SPM), conducted by Mark Churchill, will present its fourth performances of the 2018/19 season Saturday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m., at Hudson High School, and on Sunday, May 5, at 3:30 p.m., at the Putnam Family Arts Center of St. Mark’s School in Southborough. The program is aptly titled “Virtuosity,” and features 23-year-old violinist Inmo Yang, first-prize winner of the internationally renowned Paganini Competition. Yang will perform Tchaikovsky’s beloved and tuneful “Violin Concerto.”

“We are honored to collaborate with Inmo Yang,” said Churchill. “He’s a young superstar who’s already on the road to a major international career. He plays with mature grace and subtlety, and his technique is second to none.”

The SPM program also features two movements from Florence Price’s “Symphony No. 1,” “Juba Dance” and the “Finale.” Rounding out the program is Shostakovich’s youthful “Symphony No. 1,” both exuberant and dramatic.

Adult tickets are $25; senior tickets are $20; students are free; and group rates are available. First-time SPM concertgoers may also attend free of charge. Tickets to the performances may be found on Eventbrite or at www.symphonypromusica.org.

Hudson High School is located at 69 Brigham Rd. St. Mark’s School is located at 25 Marlboro Rd., Southborough.
