WESTBOROUGH – The Trex Film Plastics collection session for fall will begin on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Kohl’s Northborough from 8 to 9 a.m. The collection events will be held every alternate Saturday on the following dates:
Sept. 9 and 23
Oct. 7 and 21
Nov. 4 and 18
The Trex collection bins are again planned to be placed at the following locations after the Labor Day weekend at Mill Pond Elementary School, Boroughs Branch YMCA, Westborough High School and the Westborough branch of Central One Federal Credit Union.
Since the beginning of this program in the fall of 2020, a grand total of 8,538 pounds of film plastics has been collected. Also, four Trex benches have been awarded to place at various locations for public use.
Volunteers have worked tirelessly to collect, weigh and load the plastics on the recycling trailer to achieve this success.
The collections are a program of the Westborough Rotary Club.
