Nov. 3, from 3 – 5 p.m., the Unitarian Universalist Congregational Society of Westborough will be commencing a comprehensive sexuality education program called Our Whole Lives (OWL), a program created jointly by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. The OWL program helps students in 7th through 9th grades gain the knowledge, values and skills they need to lead sexually healthy, responsible lives.
The program is designed to support the role of parents as the primary sexuality educator of their children.
Parents seeking information about and an overview of the program are welcomed to attend the OWL Information Night at the church, located at 64 West Main St., Westborough. Parents will have the chance to access the curricular materials, ask questions and meet with the facilitators during the informational session.
The OWL program is slated to begin Nov. 17 and run through March 2014. Participants need not be members of the congregation. For more information, contact Janet Davis, the director of religious education, at 508-366-2635.
