Adriana Ford, 8, aided by her father Mike Ford, studies the map of Spring Street School during the school’s “Newcomers’ Tea” on Wednesday, August 22, while her younger brother Joshua Ford, 5, looks on. Mike Ford had attended Spring Street School himself and had recently moved his family back to Shrewsbury from Boxborough. The “Newcomers’ Tea” welcomed roughly 75 new students, offering them a chance to explore the classrooms, meet teachers and ride the school bus.
