Westborough – Olavi M. Lahna, 89, died Wednesday July 6, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M. (Harwood) Lahna, who died in 2002, and a son, Warren Lahna.
He leaves three sons, Karl M. Lahna of Stuart, Fla., Earl A. Lahna of Westborough and Eric Lahna of Barre; a sister, Alvina Kangas of Cape Cod; four grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
Born in Finland in 1922, he immigrated with his family in 1926. He served in the Army Air Corps and Army in World War II in Europe. He graduated from Providence College and worked in engineering in the Worcester area before retiring from Pratt and Whitney.
His funeral service will be held Saturday July 9, at 11 a.m., at the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Calling hours are Friday July 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
