EDITORIAL: Who should decide what wreck to wreck?Westborough – When the state's Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) tore down two old buildings on Lyman Street in Northborough last year, officials from the Massachusetts Historical Commission (MHC) were not pleased. The MHC felt that DCAM had overstepped its boundaries by not contacting them first regarding these structures.

Now with more buildings at the Lyman School for Boys in Westborough up for auction July 26, the MHC is determined that any future demolitions should occur only if and when its protocols are followed.
