Shrewsbury – Back by popular demand, Linda Jean will help the Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center, Inc. kick off the new year Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m., at the Senior Center. Her musical presentations will have everyone tapping their toes and singing along. Refreshments will be served. Bring a friend, or come and make a new friend, and enjoy a very entertaining afternoon.
Also, the Friends of the Shrewsbury Senior Center, Inc. is having a basket raffle to raise funds for the Senior Center, located at 98 Maple Ave. The six baskets will be on display in the Senior Center lobby after the Sept. 20 meeting and also will be a part of the Spirit of Shrewsbury Expo. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and may be purchased at the front desk or at the Friends’ September and October meetings. Drawing for the baskets will be held at the Oct. 18 Friends” meeting.
