Shrewsbury – Esther “Sis” (Palmer) Taber, 85, a longtime resident of Shrewsbury, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Bradford Eaton Taber.
She was the dear mother of Scott Bradford Taber of Shrewsbury and Lynn (Douglas) Grever of Frankfort, Ill.; grandmother of Elizabeth Kelsey, Courtney Allison and Andrew James Grever; and sister of William (Eleanor) Palmer, Beverly (Carl) Josephson and the late John (Doris) Palmer.
Mrs. Taber was an artist and member of local Art Guilds. She and her husband were 40 year members of First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury. She was the former owner of Tabco Sales of Westborough and a bookkeeper at State Mutual Insurance Co., Worcester.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m., at the Howard C. Allen Funeral Home, 653 Main St., Shrewsbury. Visitation will be held the same day from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Private burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
