Whitinsville/Shrewsbury – United Bank will hold community Electronics Recycling Days at its branches in Whitinsville and Shrewsbury in coming weeks. The events are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8 at 701 Church St. in Whitinsville and Saturday, Oct. 22 at 564 Main St. in Shrewsbury. The hours for both days are 9 a.m. to noon.

With no limit and no fees involved, residents are invited to bring unwanted computers, monitors, fax machines, lamps, microwaves, A/C units, and any other corded electronic items for disposal by Superior Waste & Recycling of Worcester. The only items that will not be accepted for recycling are television sets.

United Bank is partnering with WSRS and WTAG radio to offer the community Electronics Recycling Days. A WSRS/WTAG Street Team will be on hand at both locations. The public can register to win a $50 gift certificate to Plaza Azteca in Worcester at each recycling event. Following the two events, all registered participants will be entered into a prize drawing to win a two-night stay at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor in Plymouth.

United Bank has 16 branch offices and two express drive-up branches in the Springfield region and six branches in the Worcester region.
