Relay For Life® 2012 registration is underwayMarlborough – The Relay For Life of Marlborough/Hudson has announced June 8, 2012, as the date for the upcoming 2012 Relay For Life of Marlborough/Hudson. As in previous years, the relay will be held at Ghiloni Park and registration is now open for all participants.

Relay For Life events are held overnight as individuals and teams camp out at an athletic track, park or other gathering area, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the track or pathway at all times throughout the evening. Teams do most of their fund-raising prior to the event, but some teams also hold creative fund-raisers at their campsites during the relay. This event brings together friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, faith-based groups – people from all walks of life – in order to aid the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives by helping people stay well, get well and find cures.

Funds raised at Relay For Life of Marlborough/Hudson enable the American Cancer Society to enhance the lives of those touched by cancer. The program provides funds for vital, cutting-edge cancer research; services such as transportation to treatment and free lodging at Hope Lodge; round-the-clock support at a national cancer information center available 1-800-227-2345; life-saving literature on cancer prevention, detection and tobacco control; and a new generation of medicines to help battle cancer.
