Marlborough – Ava Sandford of Marlborough, has qualified for the 22nd Annual National Judges Cup Championships being held in Indianapolis, Ind., Jan. 6 to 8, 2012.
Sandford will be one of 12 athletes representing the state of Massachusetts in the Level 7 All Star State Team Challenge. She qualified for the event at the 2011 Massachusetts Judges Cup.
Sandford's coach, New England Academy of Gymnastics girls team coach Kristin Freundlich was proud of her pupil's achievement.
“This is a great opportunity for Ava to represent Massachusetts and be part of a team made up of level 7 gymnasts across the state,” Freundlich said.
