Shrewsbury – Janet L. (Sullivan) Gay, 63, a longtime resident of Shrewsbury, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at the Bolton Manor in Marlborough.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Daniel Gay; a son, Keith Gay and his wife Lacey of Grafton; a daughter, Stacy (Gay) Miller and her husband Lt. Col. Jody Miller of Ft. Benning, Ga.; one brother, John Diggins and his wife Susan of Worcester; and two grandchildren, Jackson Miller and Jameson Miller. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Clifford M. Sullivan and Patrick Diggins.
Born in Worcester; a daughter of Fredrick and Elizabeth (Skyes) Sullivan and Harold Diggins, she graduated from Shrewsbury High and had lived in Shrewsbury for most of her life. For many years, she worked in accounting, most recently at Wyman Gordon.
Family and friends may gather for calling hours Friday, Dec. 23, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, and again Saturday morning from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. in the funeral home before departing for church. Her funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 24, at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester.
