Worcester – Laura L. (Robinson) Perkins, 49, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at UMass Memorial Health Care (University Campus) after a short illness.
She leaves her husband of 23 years, Kenneth J. Perkins; her parents, Richard and Barbara (Leete) Robinson; two sisters, Dawn Lambert of Idaho and Bonnie Olsen of Stow; an aunt, Nancy Leete of Hudson; and an uncle, Richard Leete of Florida.
Born and raised in Marlborough, she graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Vocational High School in 1980 and Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) in 1987.
Mrs. Perkins was an active member of Genesis Club in Worcester, and a member of Church of Nativity since 1980. She was an advocate for the mentally ill and the needy. She was a published writer and loved poetry. She was an Associate of Society of St. Margaret, Boston as well.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m., in the Church of the Nativity in Northborough. Private burial will be held in the spring in the Resurrection Garden of Church of the Nativity.
