Westborough – Nancy A. Rich, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.
Born Nov. 8, 1926 in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Gladys Herbert. She had one brother, Roland Herbert Jr. (deceased), and a sister, Constance Verge of Westborough.
Mrs. Rich graduated from Westborough High School and attended Melrose Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Medical Claims Control Center of the State of Massachusetts. She was a longtime member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Westborough. She enjoyed travels to Maine, Alaska and Germany.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold P. Rich, and son, Marshall N. Rich. She leaves four children and their spouses, Deborah Rich of Blacklick, Ohio; Jonathan P. Rich and Deborah Rich of Westborough; Geoffrey A. Rich and Cheryl Storer of Millbury; and Elizabeth H. Rich and Lynne Marie Wanamaker of Easthampton. She had seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A service will be held at a later date. Mulhane Funeral Home of Milbury is assisting with arrangements. Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts Yawkey Sports Training Center, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
