Gearing up for robotics at the library
Southborough – Youngsters dare a robot to hurl another swimming tube in their direction during a demonstration presented Jan. 5 by the St. Mark's School Robotics Team at the Southborough Public Library Children's Room. Guided by science teacher Ken Wells, the team of 12 students in grades nine through 12 is preparing for this season's robotics competition with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Last year St. Mark's received the Rookie Inspiration Award, which recognizes a team's outstanding effort in community outreach.
