Marlborough librarians to offer free technology workshopsMarlborough – Reference librarians at the Marlborough Public Library will offer free technology workshops as part of their “Thursday Night Lights!” series starting in June. The workshops will consist of drop-in sessions for individual help and a group program on downloading the library's free e-books. No registration is required.

Drop-in sessions are scheduled for June 21 and June 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. Bring your own laptop or use one of the library's. Staff can help you create an email account, get to websites of interest, learn Microsoft Word basics and many other topics.

On Thursday, June 21, the staff will hold a workshop on using your Nook, which will include how to download e-books from their digital catalog at http://digitalbooks.cwmars.org/. The workshop will provide an overview of the process and time for hands-on practice.

Margaret Cardello is the library director.

“Navigating technology can be very challenging,” Cardello said. “These workshops will help people get past some of the obstacles.”
